Dan Patrick reacts to the firing of Giants Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett. While he believes it might save Head Coach Joe Judge’s job in the short-term, he doubts it will actually help the Giants offense in any significant way. After all, there’s only so much you can do with a bad offense and bringing in a new play-caller is just trying to put lipstick on a pig. Judge, GM Dave Gettleman, and just about anybody on that coaching staff should probably start looking for new jobs.
Dan Patrick: “Joe Judge may be keeping his job by firing Jason Garrett, his Offensive Coordinator...but firing Jason Garrett; is that going to remedy everything, rectify? Because you still have the same offense. There’s only so many plays you can call when you have a bad offense...OK, you can bring in whatever play-caller you want, Eric Bieniemy. Do you think he’s going to be able to dial up some offense there for the Giants? But they fired Jason Garrett and, apparently, now get ready for the Giants...”
