Blazin' 5: Colin Cowherd Gives His Five Best NFL Bets For Week 15

(VIDEO SEGMENT ABOVE)

Last Week's Blazin' 5 record: 1-4

2021 Blazin' 5 record: 31-40-1 (Colin made bonus picks in Week 4 & 5)

Patriots (9-4) at Colts (7-6) (SPREAD: IND -2.5)

“I’m going to take the Colts -2.5. Both teams are off a bye so they’re well-rested. The Colts have scored 30+ points in 7 of 8 games, do you realize that? If you go from Week 6 on, they’re number one in the NFL in points, total touchdowns, and they’re second in rushing. Their defense is good too forcing turnovers. The Colts are 7-0 when Jonathan Taylor has over 100 yards rushing, and the Patriots rush defense is their weakness, it’s only 18th. The Colts are at home, they’re more desperate, I’m laying less than a field goal, I’m going to take the Colts here, 28-24, good game, more desperate team at home wins.”

Colin's prediction: Colts 28, Patriots 24.

Colin's pick: Indianapolis -2.5

Texans (2-11) at Jaguars (2-11) (SPREAD: JAX -5)

“Haven’t taken the Jaguars all year, here we go, I’m going to take them -5. Why? Interim coaches always get a great effort the first several weeks. Jacksonville’s defense has a pass rush, they can get after you. In fact, they have allowed under 200 yards passing in five of their last seven games, and Davis Mills has never won a start in the NFL. Jacksonville has the better defensive front, they’re at home, and they got the better quarterback. The Texans have scored 14 or fewer points in eight games this year, the most in the NFL. They just can’t move the ball, they’re last in everything. I get an inspired team and a focused team that wants to prove they’re fine and that it was the ex-coach that was the problem. I haven’t taken the Jags this year, I’m going to take them here, 27-20.”

Colin's prediction: Jaguars 27, Texans 20.

Colin's pick: Jacksonville -5

Titans (9-4) at Steelers (6-6-1) (SPREAD: TEN -0.5)

“I’m going to take Pittsburgh. The line has moved around, it’s now -0.5, I’m going to take the Steelers. You’re not going to believe this – I may bang on Big Ben but he’s had his moments this year. Big Ben has 15 touchdowns and 3 picks in the last 8 games, only Aaron Rodgers has a better TD/INT ratio. A lot of that is because Najee Harris is now becoming a forceful running back. They’re 5-1 when Najee gets 25+ touches, that helps Ben. The Titans offense since losing Derrick Henry is a wreck, and what’s really happening is that they’re forcing Tannehill to take more of a burden of the offense and they’ve become a turnover machine – 9 giveaways in the last three games. They REALLY miss Derrick Henry. I like the Steelers to win this game and cover, 26-20.”
Colin's prediction: Steelers 26, Titans 20.

Colin's pick: Pittsburgh +0.5

Bengals (7-6) at Broncos (7-6) (SPREAD: DEN -3)

“I liked this line much better at 1.5 and 2, it’s my least favorite bet, but I’m going to take the Broncos -3. The line was better earlier this week but here’s why I’m going to take the Broncos. The Broncos defense forces a lot of turnovers, they’ve had multiple takeaways in four of their last six games. This is a REAL defense with Vic Fangio and these corners, and what does Cincinnati do? GIVE IT AWAY. I love Joe Burrow but he has 14 picks, tied for most in the league. He’s a young quarterback and it’s an OK offensive line. I think Denver at home, cold weather, late in the year, very good disruptive defense – I’m going to take them to beat Cincinnati, 28-23. You know I like the Broncos!”

Colin's prediction: Broncos 28, Bengals 23.

Colin's pick: Denver -3

Seahawks (5-8) at Rams (9-4) (SPREAD: LAR -4)

“This is a strange game, I like the Seahawks a lot here, Seahawks +4 and here’s why. First of all, massive COVID outbreak for the Rams. It’s one thing to miss starters last week and be galvanized, but now you’re asking them for a second week in a row to be wildly short-handed. This is a division rival and in this division taking points is almost always the way to go. The Seahawks have 10 giveaways this year, tied for the fewest in the league. They don’t beat themselves. Since Russell has not only come back, but been healthy in the last three games, he’s competing 70% of his throws, and his passer rating is 109. Don’t judge Russell on the game he came back in against Green Bay. Since he’s gotten healthier they’ve gotten a running game, Russell is playing better, massive COVID outbreak, I’m going to take the +4 with Seattle. I think it’s a go-either-way last second game, I got the Rams winning by a point. I think the Rams are a better team even with COVID, but you gotta take the four points here, that’s just way too many points for a wild, desperate, Seattle team.”

Colin's prediction: Rams 27, Seahawks 26.

Colin's pick: Seattle +4
