The NFL is rescheduling games due to COVID and Dan Patrick wants to know where the accountability is? Teams are being placed at a competitive disadvantage through no fault of their own and Dan doesn’t think it’s fair at all. With the NFL season on the brink of disaster, and the playoffs and Super Bowl in danger of being cancelled or postponed, Dan proposes a unique solution: just cancel week 17.
Dan Patrick: “If they truly care about getting everybody healthy for the postseason, how about you take away week 17, and then you can still have your Super Bowl when you’re going to have it, and the playoffs. But I think we’re getting to that point where it’s going to be hard to field teams that actually look like NFL teams...I’d take away the last week of the regular season. I know, it’s all about money and they’ll slap a team together to get out there, but I think we’re getting to that point where we’re kind of teetering on the brink.”
