Here's What Colin Cowherd Thinks About the Cowboys' Super Bowl Chances

Colin Cowherd: “Mike McCarthy can drive me nuts and Dak is sometimes too conservative, but nobody is fooling anybody and Dallas has playmakers. The great Jimmy Johnson and Troy Aikman teams had playmakers. Dallas has defensive line playmakers, Micah Parsons wherever you line him up, Trevon Diggs at corner, five different receivers with over 50 yards last week, and running backs… All of their playmakers are healthy now and that’s why they’re surging. After Week 16 in the NFL, you are what you are, and what Dallas is is: FAST, ATHLETIC, RANGY, MULTI-FACETED. Say what you want about Mike McCarthy but he had a major issue at defensive coordinator with Mike Nolan and he solved it. Dan Quinn has hit it out of the park. They’ve simplified the offense and let all these playmakers play. Mike McCarthy has mostly gotten out of the way and he’s seen how good this talent is. Dak can fall into this ‘Dak and Dunk’, but I think Dak is smart enough that he looks around at all these playmakers and he’s like ‘If I don’t screw this up, we can drop 30 every weekend.’ When you get to this time of the year the teams with playmakers are separating, and Dallas has a lot of them. Dak and McCarthy have kind of gotten out of the way, and Dallas now feels like they’ve moved into that 6-7 team ‘Super Bowl Bubble’ as everybody is battling injuries, COVID, and they’re scheme-fatigued… Dallas is not dependent on any player or any unit. They’ve got stars on the defensive line, linebacker, secondary, wide receiver, running back, o-line Pro Bowlers, and quarterback. You’ll get knocked out of the playoffs fast if you’re dependent on one unit or one player, and Dallas isn’t.” (Full Video Above)
