The Doug Pederson/Trevor Lawrence Tandem Has Potential

It was only last offseason that Jaguars Trevor Lawrence was considered the best young quarterback in the league, but he struggled this season under head coach Urban Meyer. Dan Patrick thinks new head coach Doug Pederson will be much better for Lawrence’s development and sees great potential for this tandem. At the very least, the Jaguars can begin to rebuild.

Dan Patrick: “Trevor Lawrence was considered the next great quarterback prospect. That was last offseason, man that seems like a long time ago. And he struggled this year, but I don’t know if anybody thought he was going to be lighting defenses up, certainly with that team. But this is a tandem that has potential ‘cause (Doug) Pederson did really well with Carson Wentz and did well with Nick Foles in the Super Bowl. As for Lawrence, Urban Meyer was never going to be the right person for his development. Pederson could change that.”
