NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell finally weighed in on the lawsuit filed by Brian Flores. While he still doesn’t admit to any wrongdoing by the NFL, he does acknowledge that they could be doing better, and Doug Gottlieb agrees. The idea behind the procedures in place for diversity, equity and inclusion are laudable, but the statistics indicate they aren’t working. The obvious conclusion is that things still need to change.
Doug Gottlieb: “I think that Roger Goodell kind of speaks for everybody sort of in the middle. Like look, the procedures, they are what they are...the problem with it is: it just doesn’t appear to be working well enough and we all gotta do better!”
