The Los Angeles Lakers gave LeBron the reins on roster decisions this season, acquiring Russell Westbrook on his suggestion and it doesn’t seem to be working. Now, the Lakers have no real shot to win a championship this year and everybody is looking for someone to blame for a lost season. And LeBron is up to his usual tricks, attempting to deflect responsibility and already eyeing greener pastures. It’s clear the Lakers are done with the LeBron era and should be looking for ways to move on.
Doug Gottlieb: “He’s intentionally upsetting the apple cart. This is what LeBron does everywhere he has been. He tries to take over, and when he’s told he can’t take over, then he lashes out and usually he moves on. That may, in fact, end up happening here.”
