Colin Cowherd: “LeBron sent out a tweet on April Fools and it was kind of a thud. The tweet was ‘hey, I’m out for the season officially, see ya’ll in the Fall!’ ehhh, it didn’t really read the room. The problem with the tweet is – I didn’t think it was a joke. It was sort of on-brand for 2022. There’s nothing funny in Los Angeles about this Laker mess. I like LeBron but he feels disengaged. He wanted Westbrook, it’s a disaster, he steers clear of it. LeBron has sort of a ‘I’m too cool for this mess’ vibe. He has a checklist of things he wanted to do here: move here, get rid of the young guys, get AD through Klutch Sports, win a title, and crush in business. Yea, he got all those, and now what is the city of Los Angeles left with? Just an old, dilapidated, uneventful, uninspiring roster. LeBron has gotten a lot more out of the city of Los Angeles, than the city of Los Angeles has gotten out of LeBron. There’s no reason to be beholden to LeBron. They’re 16 games under. 500 and on a 6-game losing streak, don’t joke about it. At least pretend you care, we know you don’t. That joke landed exactly how it should of: really, really, poorly.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Colin Cowherd call out LeBron James for an April Fools Day joke he made via his Twitter account last week, where the oft-injured 37-year-old told his followers that he was declaring himself out for the rest season.
Check out the video above as Colin is baffled by the ‘humor’ LeBron supposedly thought he was going to illicit from the tweet, considering injuries have made this team one of the biggest failures in NBA history.
