Emmanuel Acho: “Arizona, don’t let what everybody else is doing dictate what YOU do. An extension for Kyler Murray would be at a minimum, four years, $160 million fully guaranteed. That is kind of the floor right now and what Dak Prescott got. If I’m paying you that kind of money I need two things to be true for you, and at least one… I need you to be a ‘baller’, and I need you to be a good reflection of the team. When you think of players who have gotten that type of money – Dak Prescott, relative baller, good reflection of the team. Patrick Mahomes – baller, and a good reflection of the team. Josh Allen – baller, and a good reflection of the team. Aaron Rodgers – baller, and good enough reflection of the team if you get rid of the politics of it all. And even if he’s not a good reflection of the team, he’s a four-time MVP, and such a baller that his reflection is irrelevant. When you talk about Kyler Murray, being a baller is in question because he’s not a winning quarterback thus far in his career, he has yet to win a playoff game thus far in his career, and he’s not a good reflection of the team because as the face of the team he deleted all the remnants of the Cardinals from his social media and then put them back – just a very immature thing to do if you might get $160 million. Remember, money does not change who you are, it just exposes who you are. If Kyler Murray is acting this type of immature without $160 million, imagine how he might act once you give him $160 million.” (Full Segment Above)
Watch Emmanuel Acho explain why he doesn’t think the Cardinals should cave on Kyler Murray’s desires for a lucrative contract extension going into his fourth year, as Acho doesn’t think Murray is mature enough at this point to warrant a payday this massive going into a very critical season of his career.
Check out the video above as Acho expresses doubt about the ‘immature’ Murray being the face of the Cardinals franchise with zero playoff wins to his name, and a rash of questionable decisions off the field.
