Jason Smith and Mike Harmon discuss 76ers star James Harden inking a two-year, $68.6 million contract. Harden’s play has declined and Jason isn’t buying Harden’s smokescreen at Philly into getting them to pay nearly $34 million dollars next year. Jason thinks this was Harden’s best option at getting a bag because probably no other team was going to give it to him!
Jason Smith: “I have to take my hat off to James Harden for convincing the Sixers that a two-year, $68 million dollar contract extension was the way to go. What Harden did was not a selfless act. What he did was take $15 million-dollars less this year so he could get another $33 million dollars next year. Nobody was going to give him money!”
