Friday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox and LaVar Arrington react to Penn State's impressive comeback win against Purdue, and LaVar calls BS on the targeting call that resulted in the ejection of Penn State LB Abdul Carter on the first play of his collegiate career.
LaVar Arrington: "I thought it was a very nice play. It turned into a great introduction of the next one to wear those amazing numbers. Welcome to Stix City."
Jonas Knox: "The first play of his college career, he gets ejected for targeting. Let me tell you something, I know that sucks and he's probably really bummed out about it, but if he goes on to have a career, it's actually going to make that play that much more impressive."
LaVar Arrington: "You 100% nailed it. Talk about emphatic fashion of coming into your career and there's not going to be one person that sits there and says that was the type of play where he should have been kicked out of the game...
It probably will end up being one of those moments where you say on primetime television, his first play, that's what happened, but they shouldn't have took that baby's opportunity away to have a game in that moment, not over that. That's a little disheartening."
