Former NFL Player Antonio Dennard Was Shot to Death at 32

Former NFL cornerback Antonio Dennard was shot and killed outside of a Pennsylvania bar early Sunday (October 16) morning, WFMZ reports.

Dennard, 32, was pronounced dead at a Muhlenberg Township hospital at 3:15 a.m. after being shot at Legends Bar & Restaurant, the Berks County coroner's office confirmed.

Local authorities are ruling Dennard's death as a homicide, WFMZ reports.

Dennard had spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and, most recently, the Green Bay Packers during his NFL career.

The Berks County coroner's office confirmed via WFMZ.

Dennard is the second former Packers player to have died this month.

Former tight end Tyrone Davis died on October 2 at the age of 50, according to an online obituary shared by the Jeffress Funeral Home in South Boston, Virginia.

Davis' funeral was held on October 8, according to the obituary. Longtime Virginia beat writer Jerry Ratcliffe reports Davis died of an undisclosed illness (h/t Packers.com).

Davis played in the NFL for eight seasons as a member of the New York Jets (1995-96) and the Packers (1997-2002), having served as Green Bay's starting tight end in 1999 and during part of the 2000 season, while otherwise backing up Mark Chmura or Bubba Franks.

The Halifax native recorded 73 receptions for 795 yards and 13 touchdowns in 75 career games.
