Dan Patrick Wasn’t shocked to hear that Steve Nash lost his job, but he IS shocked that Kevin Durant was shocked that Nash is gone. Part of the reason Nash is out is clearly related to Durant’s expressed desire for a new coach, so Dan finds it unbelievable that he was unaware or in any way surprised by this move.
Dan Patrick: “I’m shocked Kevin Durant’s shocked. So, your star player doesn’t know anything about this? I would follow up and say, ‘So you had no idea, nobody ran this by you, nobody gave you a heads up that you were going to find out on ESPN that Steve Nash had been fired? Is that what you’re saying Kevin?’ I don’t believe that.”
