The Boston Red Sox have added to their lineup.
The Red Sox and Justin Turner have agreed to a two-year contract worth $22 million, according to several sources. The deal includes an opt-out after 2023.
After the reports of Turner signing with the Boston Red Sox came out, former Dodger and current Red Sox player Kiké Hernandez took to Twitter to react to his longtime teammate taking his talents to Beantown.
Although Turner has spent most of his career at third base, the 38-year-old Turner will likely to see most of his action at DH in Boston. In nine years with the Dodgers, Turner slashed .296/.375/.490, clubbed 156 home runs, and drove in 574 runs, while becoming one of the most popular players on the team.
