Today on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knox foresaw the NFL owners voting down the rule proposal to make "Roughing the Quarterback" penalties subject to review, and they explain how the rule has now started to harm the game.

While the rule was intended to protect quarterbacks from injury, it has taken away from the physical nature of the game and given too much power to quarterbacks, who are already the most protected players on the field and are becoming more athletic and mobile year after year.

Brady Quinn: "I'm a quarterback and I'll sit here and tell you I think the rule is absolutely awful for the game. At some point, you got to realize there's depth at the quarterback on most rosters for a reason. It's a contact sport. It's a collision sport. You're going to have hits where guys get hurt. You can't wrap them in bubble wrap."
