On today's edition of The Odd Couple, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker dissect Mavericks Coach Jason Kidd's comments that Luka Doncic could be the greatest Maverick ever. Chris and Rob debate whether it was premature of Jason Kidd to state that and if it's disrespectful to NBA Champion Dirk Nowitzki.
Rob Parker: "I don’t know if I would’ve addressed it, it was really dismissive of Dirk, and no disrespect to Luka, it's more of a lack of respect to Dirk, since he was the one who brought a championship to Dallas and put his stamp on the franchise."
Chris Broussard: "I disagree. Luka’s just better than Dirk. They can get swept in this series and it wouldn't matter. Luka’s the best player to ever play on the Mavericks. This isn’t a shot at Dirk, but Luka should already be considered to be one of the best top 10 players ever. No one ever said that about Dirk while he was playing."
