Chris Broussard: “There are coaches like Kyle Shanahan that kind of want to control everything from the sidelines and so Brock Purdy kind of just has to paint by numbers.. You have to have the instincts, you have to make the decisions on the fly obviously on the field but the coaches are doing a lot of thinking for you and obviously calling plays nowadays. I do think high school quarterbacks are getting a lot more work than they used to; I mean they are playing 7-on-7... so I would think in a lot of ways they would be more prepared. He (Tom Brady) won’t be able to be that pessimistic calling the game if indeed that’s how he feels about it.”
