Bronny Needs to Maintain His Irrational Self-Confidence

Bronny James finally hit a couple 3-pointers and managed to have a decent game for the Lakers in the Summer League but Doug still has concerns over his ability to maintain his confidence. He hasn’t really produced anything in more than a year and he has to be aware of the sentiments of many who believe he just isn’t good enough to play in the NBA. But self-confidence, even irrational self-confidence is the only way he’ll be able to succeed considering his play has been mediocre at best.

Doug Gottlieb: “My biggest concern for (Bronny James) in his future growth is; how do you maintain your confidence when you haven’t really produced in a year and a half? The maintaining of self-confidence, even irrational self-confidence is a good thing. The down side to it is; you have to take the stats in totality and it’s not great.”
