University of Memphis Men’s Head Basketball Coach, Penny Hardaway has fired three of his assistant coaches and speculation is running rampant about the upheaval in the program. Doug Gottlieb leans on his own experience as an NCAA Division 1 head coach to provide an educated guess as to what, exactly, could have pushed Hardaway to such drastic action at such an inopportune time as the school year has already begun.
Doug Gottlieb: “You get five assistants, and three of them you fire when school’s already started? I just...something’s up there, I have no idea what it is... To me, there’s only two possibilities...”
