Today on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington react to Lamar Jackson saying he turned down an offer from the Ravens for 3 years, $144 million fully guaranteed, which would come out at over $44M/year.
Brady Quinn: "If he gets injured this season, he's only got $32 million guaranteed that he's playing for... That's why [he needs an agent]. Because you could have had someone who would be like, 'Dude, that's a pretty fair offer. And we get another bite at the apple in two years.'"
Jonas Knox: "I just don't see how this ends and everybody's on great terms, because it feels like Baltimore's dug in, they're looking around the league seeing that he's got these lack of offers and nobody's really putting anything down. Teams are going in different directions at quarterbacks and Lamar Jackson is sitting there, realizing he cost himself a lot of money and I don't know if it's because he didn't have an agent, or if he's getting bad advice from the NFLPA. I find it hard to believe there's not going to be some bad feelings however this thing ends up between him and the organization. Feels like we're already there."
