Rare Gymnastics Maneuver to Be Named After Olympic Hero Simone Biles

Simone Biles made history after landing two signature moves at the world championships in Stuttgart, Germany. Biles wowed the judges in the floor routine by landing a gravity-defying triple-double, which involves doing two backflips and three twists. That move will be known as the Biles II.

The Olympic gold medalist wasn't done and pulled off another incredible trick on the balance beam. Biles finished her routine with a double-double dismount, a move that will be called the Biles.

"I feel like I'm pretty pleased just because that's how I train beam, and it finally felt good to go out there and hit a beam routine like I train because I feel like every time I go up to compete beam, I just bomb it," Biles told the Olympic Channel. "So it felt really good to just nail it."

Biles' historic performances helped Team USA hold the lead over Russia and China in the qualifying standings with a score of 174.205.
