Colin Kaepernick's PR Team Releases Letter Shooting Down 'False Narratives'

“In summary, it is difficult to think of another young player in NFL history with statistics and character as impressive as Colin’s not being able to be given an opportunity to earn a spot on an NFL roster after what he has accomplished.”

Colin Kaepernick's public relations team released a bizarre letter to the media on Thursday that clarified disparaging misinformation about their client that they called 'False Narratives'.

The memo, titled ‘Facts to Address the False Narratives Regarding Colin Kaepernick’ outlined more than a dozen bullet points that contained questions the likes of ‘Has Colin been offered a job by an NFL team?’, ‘Does Colin still want to play?’, ‘Does Colin fit into most teams’ system?’, and ‘Is Colin still good enough to play?’

The memo reads like a job resume, and was essentially a recruiting pitch that was leaked to the media.

The letter is credited to being written by Kaepernick’s agent Jeff Nailey, and his PR Director Jasmine Windham.

Nailey and Windham allege Kaepernick has never been offered a job in the NFL since his time in San Francisco, neither as a starter, or backup, which conflicts past reports when John Elway alleged the Broncos had indeed offered Kaepernick a two-year deal worth $7 million. They also say there won’t be any problem with Kap fitting into a system and contended strongly that Kaepernick wants to be in the NFL again.

Kaepernick hasn't played in the NFL since 2016, when he went 1-10 and finished last in the league in yards per game.

Kaepernick filed a grievance with the NFL on October 15, 2017 alleging that NFL owners colluded to blackball him from the league after he notoriously began kneeling during the National Anthem on September 1, 2016.
