Canadian Men’s Hockey Coach, Jon Cooper ranted about the 3-on-3 overtime format in the Milano Cortina Olympics after losing the gold medal to Team USA yesterday after John Hughes scored the golden goal less than two minutes into the overtime period. With the consensus best player in the world on their squad in Connor McDavid, Stugotz doesn’t think they have any business complaining about a format that should have been to their advantage.
John “Stugotz” Weiner: “I cannot believe that Canada, of all teams, and their fan base, I understand they're upset we stole hockey from them. But listen, you cannot complain about the rules when you have the best weapon in the sport (Connor McDavid) when you go to 3-on-3 in overtime.”
