“If I’m a Redskins fan, I’m thinking, ‘For $24 million, why don’t we use that on the defense?’”
Jonas Knox is very skeptical on Kirk Cousins’ standing as a fringe-top shelf quarterback, at least top shelf in Cousins’ mind, as the Pro Bowler is looking to become one of football’s highest paid signal callers.
Knox pointed out how Cousins has a bad reputation for coming up the smallest on the biggest stages, and that even a $24 million price tag for one season attached to a Franchise Tag label would be a steep price to pay for a guy who realistically isn’t one of the 10 best quarterbacks in the NFL.
