Paul George, who grew up in Los Angeles, is rumored to have his mind set on joining the Lakers in free agency and NOT a move and sign deal before the trade deadline ends.
This means basically that the Lakers revolution of their roster is all designed to entice a superstar to the city of Los Angeles, and their target is pretty clearly Paul George. George has said this multiple times throughout his last few months about his pending free agency:
The most important tweet is the one from Andrew Sharp above. Paul George has made his plans to join the Lakers in 2018 extremely clear, and the Pacers decided to still not cash out on him and get something in return.
This is exactly what happened with Kevin Durant and the OKC Thunder last season, and the Thunder were left with nothing after he left in free agency.
