Why is it some sort of hot take to say that the team that went 73-9 last season, and got within one game of completing the greatest season in NBA history, has gotten worse since they sacrificed depth for Kevin Durant?
Basketball is more than a comparison of pieces, and the collective in Golden State has dropped off considerably since the acquisition of Durant. Steph Curry went from a two-time MVP to only one of the 10 best players in the league right now once Durant came in, Klay Thompson is down on his shooting splits, and the interior defense in Golden State is just plain bad without Bogut and Ezeli.
Nick Wright explains in the video above why the Warriors would be better off right now had they never signed Kevin Durant. Listen to The Herd every weekday from 12-3 pm est. on Fox Sports Radio.
