B/R - The Golden State Warriors are hopeful that Kevin Durant can return before the end of the regular season, according to Marc Stein of ESPN, given the progress he's made in his recovery from a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a tibial bone bruise.
Durant suffered the knee injury in late February and the Warriors have gone a pedestrian 7-5 in his absence, though they are currently on a five-game winning streak.
This is huge news for the Golden State Warriors, who have been floundering without their new talisman as of late since this happened:
Golden State desperately needed this news, and heading into a stretch run of the regular season this might be enough to mentally motivate the team to get to the finish line. Last night's victory against Oklahoma City went a long way towards getting the momentum started, and the thought of Durant returning soon gets the ball really going downhill.
