The Boston Celtics have overachieved this season in the eyes of almost everyone in the NBA.
Despite only exceeding their projected (Vegas) win total by 0.5 games, the Celtics were able to lock up the top seed in the Eastern Conference and secure home court advantage throughout the playoffs. All of this along with the fact that they hold the Brooklyn Nets draft pick, which finished the season as the best odds at the number one overall pick.
They are a very good team, but questions have begun surfacing about whether or not the Celtics have that "second gear" of talent that great playoff teams are always able to get to. According to Colin Cowherd, who has watched a lot of the Celtics this season, they do not.
