The high school coach of James Harden might be the one responsible for a lot of the Houston Rockets' success this season, and after you hear this story it really isn't any surprise at all.
Back in the day, Harden (who actually had a tendency to avoid contact in the lane) had trouble getting to the free throw line. Shocking when you look at him now. His coach promised him a hamburger every single time Harden shot more than six free throws in a game. If he failed to reach that mark, he was running sprints.
