The Bears invited Mike Glennon to celebrate the drafting of Mitchell Trubisky, seemingly to congratulate the team on finding their quarterback of the future only months after paying Glennon to fulfill the role. How could that possibly go wrong?
It wasn't very difficult to see Glennon getting a bit butthurt by the invitation, and he has since claimed that he felt "cheated on" by the Bears on draft night.
The team leveraged its future to get Trubisky, a guy the Bears believe could be their franchise savior, and asked the man they subsequently deemed "unfit" to the party. Doug Gottlieb ponders this ridiculous decision here.
