I love this idea. Spread the word, and make it happen if you're going to the game tonight. https://t.co/dLkTexkFH6— Jared Carrabis (@Jared_Carrabis) May 2, 2017
After last night's Adam Jones incident at Fenway Park, the Red Sox faithful have a chance to make a serious impact on the MLB landscape tonight with one simple gesture.
In an attempt to show one stupid fan does not reflect the opinions of an entire city, the Red Sox fans are organizing a standing ovation for Adam Jones when he comes up to the plate tonight.
This is an incident that has cast a dark shadow over the city of Boston for so many years. From Carl Crawford incidents all the way to that PK Subban goal. The way Boston is perceived by everyone in the sports world is consistent with these random bursts of vulgarity, and rightfully so.
This won't fix everything, but it will be a start.
Stand up, Fenway.
