Legalized Gambling Would Kill off Fantasy Sports

“Sports gambling would come in and start kicking the crap out of Fantasy Sports. Everybody has a side when gambling’s going on; 50% of people are on one side, 50% on the other, it’s exhilarating, it’s ecstatically entertaining and it drives ratings.”

With the draft of a new bill surfacing in Congress called the Gaming Accountability and Modernization Enhancement Act, the reality of the United States ending the prohibition on sports gambling could finally be coming to fruition.

Clay Travis believes the potential of such a bill being passed would have major ramifications on season-wide leagues like ESPN and Yahoo Sports as well daily fantasy games like DraftKings and FanDuel and thinks the two latter companies would face major obstacles if nationalized gambling became a legal mainstay.
