Tiger Woods is from a different era.
The way athletes handled themselves prior to the emergence of social media and constant 24/7 news coverage was completely different than the way they act today, and Tiger's reign started at the end of the first era and continued into the other. This has led to a very bad dose of PR for the man who acts as if no one is watching, and a complete distrust from those of us who have followed him through the years.
How much distrust? When Tiger said he hadn't been drinking and the police report was not yet made public, did you believe him?
