2016 Warriors Couldn't Beat 2017 Cavaliers

“If Kevin Durant stays at OKC, LeBron wins his fourth title this year.”

Even though Harrison Barnes averaged just under 20 points per game this season for the Dallas Mavericks, it’s tough to imagine the Warriors making up for Kevin Durant’s 35.2 points per game in these Finals, where KD scored just 13 points less in 5 games than Steph Curry and Draymond Green combined.

Clay Travis thinks the 2017 Cavaliers, who steamrolled into this series with a 12-1 record after literally massacring top-seeded Boston in the East Finals behind the highest payroll in league history, would have been too formidable for a Durant-less Golden State team who lacked a real mid-range threat, especially off the dribble.
