No one seems to think Robert Horry was an exceptional player, but the fact that he was a contributor to so many champions has him remembered in one way, as a winner.
It's easy to toss around names like that, but when you think about current players it gets a little more sensitive. Chris Paul might not be remembered as the best point guard of his generation without the validation of a ring. LeBron James might now be facing 3-5 scrutiny when it's 50 years from now. It's all subjective, but important.
