Kristaps Porzingis has become somewhat of a folk-hero in the New York basketball scene. His selection was met with boo-birds from ever square inch of the Big Apple, and in one season the number 6 was on every back in the city.
Now, after becoming the beacon of hope for a team without a lot of success, Porzingis is on the trading block and the fanbase is furious. It is their fault for falling in LOVE with the player, and not looking at this situation objectively. Colin Cowherd explains:
