NBA Has Become a Contest to Dump Bad Contracts the Fastest

“This is what the NBA has become the last 10 years – ‘Hey! Do you have a crap contract that I can absorb, please? And I’ll give you two of our garbage contracts and we’ll dump these guys a year from now!’”

After the Lakers’ rid themselves of Timofey Mozgov’s 4-year, $64 million contract after a season in which they essentially paid him to stay away from the team the last month of the season, JT The Brick says the league has now started to become a contest of who can flush their worst contracts down the toilet the fastest.

With the towering league revenue giving way to bloated deals, all the inflated salary caps have yielded are swollen number figures festering like zits. And you know what comes next.
