Trail Blazers the Biggest Story From the Bubble, Not Zion Williamson

Trail Blazers the Biggest Story From the Bubble, Not Zion Williamson

The NBA has been back for a little while now, and Clay Travis has been nothing but impressed by the Portland Trail Blazers, and nothing but disappointed by the New Orleans Pelicans. Clay argues that the entire reason the NBA Bubble was set up was to give the Pelicans a real shot at getting into the playoffs so that we could see a first round match up between LeBron James and Zion Williamson.

That scenario doesn't seem likely at all at this point. The Pelicans look like they are simply mailing it in. Yesterday, in a game New Orleans really needed to win, they lost to the Kings, giving up 140 points in the process.

The Trail Blazers, on the other hand, are a team that has greatly benefited from 4 months off. They are finally healthy thanks to all that time off. This is a team that is now fully healthy for the first time in a long time, and they are peaking. In their last 2 games they have beaten the Rockets, and last night they took care of the Nuggets.

Portland seems like they are determined to be the 8 seed in the west, and that would mean a date with the number one seeded Lakers, in what could be a much better first round series than Lakers fans could have ever wanted.
