Colin Cowherd: 'Not Great' Packers Are the Worst Team in the Playoffs

Colin Cowherd: “You can get to a conference championship without being great. Blake Bortles got there in Jacksonville, Mark Sanchez got there with the Jets, a lousy Colts team got there with Andrew Luck, and the Vikings got there with Case Keenum… I don’t think Green Bay is great, I just think they had a lot of things work in their favor. Matt Stafford got hurt, Mitch Trubisky got exposed, Kirk Cousins is Kirk Cousins, and they just beat up on an injury-riddled Seattle team. I don’t love Green Bay, and don’t think they’re as physical as Tennessee, they aren’t as explosive as Kansas City, and don’t have the depth of the 49ers. They remind me of the Wisconsin Badgers. I respect the hell out of them, it’s a good football operation, I always trust the coaches and executives, but when you watch Wisconsin against Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, and Alabama, they don’t look the same.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he’s not a fan of the Green Bay Packers whatsoever, a day after the Packers held on for a narrow victory over shorthanded Seattle on Sunday night in the Divisional Round.

Despite Green Bay making a run to the final four, Colin says there have been a handful of mediocre teams who made unexpected runs to the conference championship games, including Blake Bortles and the Jaguars, Mark Sanchez and the Jets, Case Keenum and the Vikings, and Andrew Luck in the Colts. Colin says the 'not great’ Packers are just another example of a less-than-stellar team who received repeated bouts of luck and good fortune to be in the position they’re in now.

Check out the video above as Colin details why the Packers remind him of Wisconsin football, as a solid team who is good every year and an entity that people respect, but one that always wilts to the most elite teams in the biggest games.
