Jason Smith: "There is no one better to be the 2024 Olympic basketball head coach than Steve Kerr. There is nobody who can handle all the craziness that goes on with just putting a roster out there and getting them to play together than Steve Kerr. Think of all the things the head coach has to deal with. You have to deal with Joel Embiid, who stinks and you've got to give him less minutes. You have guys in their prime like Haliburton and Tatum, and you have the older guard, like LeBron, KD, and Steph. You also have the role players who kind of have to play. Bam Adebayo, he's not one of the top-12 players, but for this team and what they need, he has to be out there. You have 3 tiers of players who all have to play, and they may not all be happy about it. But Steve Kerr has a lid on it. Has anybody come out publicly saying that they're unhappy? No. There is nobody better to deal with this than Steve Kerr."
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to the controversial decision by Steve Kerr to not give Jayson Tatum any minutes in Team USA's first group stage win at the Paris Olympics. The guys explain why Kerr is the perfect person to coach this year's national team, as no one can navigate the multiple big names and personalities better than Kerr.
