Rob Parker Says DeMarcus Cousins' Injury Cost LeBron & the Lakers the Title

2019 NBA Finals - Game Six
Rob Parker: “Am I being a prisoner of the moment saying the Lakers just lost any chance of winning the championship? I’m telling you, they were rejoicing in the streets when the Lakers got DeMarcus Cousins. This is a major setback for championship aspirations. He was coming in with a chance to play for a contract, and to revert to the old Boogie Cousins, who used to be a double-double machine. Now he’s gone and they’re left with an aging LeBron entering year 17, and then you have injury-prone Anthony Davis, who has missed 14 or more games in 5 of his first 7 NBA seasons. Are you not concerned?? THIS IS A MAJOR BLOW.” (FULL AUDIO AT BOTTOM OF PAGE)

Listen to Rob Parker explain why he thinks Los Angeles Lakers forward Demarcus Cousins’ torn ACL was a deathblow for a team with legitimate championship aspirations.

Cousins, who was at one time one of the best players in the league while he was a 20 and 10 guy for the Sacramento Kings, was considered one of the most underrated signings of the off-season when he signed a one-year deal with the Lakers in what would be a 'show me' year to prove he was worthy of a lucrative long-term deal next summer.

Check out the video below as Parker details why he believes Cousins’ injury killed the entire season for LeBron James’ Lakers.
