Chris Broussard: “It’s Super Bowl or bust for Brock Purdy! He has a contract sitting there, and he hasn’t made a lot of money yet. The 49ers NEED TO WIN the Super Bowl this year. When you’ve been knocking on the door for as long as they have, it can break your spirit at a certain point, so they need to win it NOW!”
Martin Weiss: “I think it’s going to have a major impact on his contract negotiations if he doesn’t play well. In the grand scheme of things for the 49ers, it seems like the team’s ‘pie’ is about to lose a slice with Brandon Aiyuk leaving. That slice needs to be filled by Brock Purdy if he wants to justify the contract he’ll likely be offered by the 49ers.”
