Colin Cowherd: Odell Beckham Jr. is Ruining His Career Being on the Browns

Colin Cowherd: “I’ve said from the beginning that I don’t think Odell Beckham Jr. fits in Cleveland. If you go back and look at Baker Mayfield’s targets of Odell Beckham last year, Baker was AWFUL. He felt like he HAD to force the ball to him. He only completed 55% of his throws when targeting Odell; LAST in the NFL. He had four touchdowns, seven picks, and a passer rating of 69.0. This doesn’t work for Baker and it doesn’t work for Odell… If you put Odell in Green Bay, Seattle, New England, and Philadelphia with well-run structure, he’s a home run. He’s not a player we should bail on, but he’s a player Cleveland should move on from… Cleveland doesn’t ‘need’ another star receiver, and Odell needs STRUCTURE, and when I say structure do you think of the Cleveland Browns??” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Cleveland Browns need to trade superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as soon as possible, as Colin has long believed that Odell was never a good ‘fit’ in Cleveland.

Colin says the combination of rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield coupled with a random cacophony of inexperienced coaching staffs have torpedoed OBJ’s career. Colin points out that in the most successful years of Odell’s football career he had veteran/upperclassmen quarterbacks like Eli Manning on the Giants and Zach Mettenberger on LSU, to go with highly respected coach like Les Miles and Tom Coughlin.

But right when Odell lost that structure and reliability was when he had the worst years of his career at the end of his tenure with the Giants, and throughout his short stay in Cleveland.

Check out the video above as Colin details why the Browns need to trade Beckham ASAP, and why he thinks Beckham could resurrect his star power on a well-grounded franchise like the Packers, Seahawks, Patriots, or Eagles.
