Colin Cowherd Tells You Which Team Won the Carson Wentz Trade

Listen to Colin Cowherd discuss Thursday’s blockbuster deal between the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles that sent Carson Wentz to Indy in exchange for two draft picks.

The Colts gave up a 2021 third-round pick, and a conditional 2022 second-round pick, but the ’22 second-round pick would turn into a first if Wentz plays in at least 75% of his team's snaps next season.

Wentz turns 29 in December, and it was just since June 6, 2019, that he signed a four-year, $128 million extension with the same team that picked him second overall in 2016, and won a Super Bowl with as well – albeit Nick Foles taking over for an 11-2 team and finishing the job.

Wentz, however, is coming off the worst statistical season of his career, and arguably the worst season of any NFL player last season. He had the second-worst completion percentage in the league, the second-worst quarterback rating, and took more sacks than any QB in the league, despite playing in just 12 games.

Check out the video above as Colin talks about the trade from both teams’ perspectives.
