Ric Bucher: LeBron James Doesn't Want the NBA Season to Resume

Ric Bucher: “Think about how we look at this season right now. LeBron is the MVP and has the Lakers first in the Western Conference. A lot of people will give him the championship or close to it, and if we have no champion named this year it will be the ‘year of LeBron’ by default. If they come back and play, he’s at a major disadvantage… At 35, he may not have looked like it, but it takes a tremendous amount for him to NOT look 35. He looks across the way and is looking at Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Giannis Antetokounmpo – all these guys in their 20’s – and is saying ‘wait a minute, we have 2-4 weeks to get ready and then we’re going right to playoff basketball?? I’m 35!’ The chance of that going sideways and the Lakers being the second oldest team in the league? It’s a bad bet.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Ric Bucher explain to Colin Cowherd why he believes LeBron James is secretly hoping that Adam Silver and the NBA completely call off their 2019/2020 in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

Check out the interview above as Bucher says that a 35-year-old LeBron knows his Lakers team, the second oldest team in the NBA, would not be physically equipped to compete in a resumed season that would likely go right into the playoffs after pausing play for multiple months.
