Colin Cowherd: Tua Tagovailoa's Dolphins Career is Already on the Line

Colin Cowherd: “Find me the other examples where a red hot veteran quarterback who has won three of four – the 3 wins all blowouts, and the loss to Seattle – gets benched in a winnable division. Even Ryan Fitzpatrick, a Harvard guy, was shocked by it. We don’t think this is a little bit of an audition because Miami has Houston’s first round pick, right now a top 5 pick? I think Tua will struggle. He doesn’t have the amazing speed of a Russell Wilson, or a Lamar, or a Kyler. He doesn’t have the size of a Josh Allen. He doesn’t have the durability of some of the other guys. I don’t think you see that ‘special’ at practice. I think a lot of this is ‘let’s throw him out there and let’s see how he takes the Live bullets.’ I think there’s questions in the building, and I think the next two weeks when he faces Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert you’re going to size him right up. He doesn’t have the wiggle of one, or the arm of the other, and I think it’s going to become prominent. If you KNOW, there wouldn’t be any rush, and you would never take out a hot quarterback. With Mahomes, everyone in the building knew you had a star, so what’s the hurry?” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Tua Tagovailoa's future in Miami is already on the line, as Colin believes the Dolphins only benched a red hot Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB because they wanted to quickly figure out if Tua can play, and if not, they’ll just use Houston’s pick in next year’s Draft, likely a top 5 pick, to draft another quarterback.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he doesn’t think everyone in that building down in Miami has confidence that Tua is this ‘special’ guy, considering he’s undersized and not a very gifted athlete.
