Why Tom Brady Will End Up Coming Out of Retirement For NFL Comeback

Colin Cowherd: “There are 24 hours in a day and I contend that most of us are terrible with our time… Folks, you CAN have it all, just be better with your time. Tom Brady’s kids are 16. When you were 16 did you want to hang out with 40-year-olds? Kids have friends. His wife has a gigantic modeling business. I’m not saying Tom is coming back but whenever I hear ‘I want to retire and I want to….’ If you’re a 52-year-old woman, you’re a CEO, and you retire…retired to what? When you have that sort of intellectual stimulation are you going to go golf and play bridge? I hear this all the time ‘Man, I’m putting away for retirement’, retirement to what? Do what? My kids don’t want to hang out with me all day, and I got plenty of time for kids. My wife always laughs ‘you better get a hobby in retirement because you’re not hanging out with me all day, because I’ve got my girl friends and things to do.' That’s what happens when you marry a woman who has a social life beyond you. I’m not saying Tom is coming back but I do look at it and think ‘this guy was so stimulated by football’. Now that juice, that stimulation, and that challenge is all gone. Now it’s ‘family time.’ That is a shift down my friends. That’s not to say family time isn’t great but when you are challenged every day, I think it’s really hard. I think Tom Brady is going to struggle for the next year not having ‘juice’, not being in the room, in the ‘arena’, and not having something to beat or eclipse. It doesn’t mean he won’t be happy for his kids, but they are kids – kids eventually like to hang out with other kids, and wives don’t want you around the house all day. Sometimes family doesn’t want you around, they got stuff to do too.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain theories on why he believes Tom Brady will ‘struggle’ to find normalcy in retirement when it comes to fulfilling the mental and physical stimulation he got from playing football, and why he thinks at some point Brady will realize it’s perfectly possible to balance family with his work.

Although Colin says he doesn’t know if Brady will indeed come back, check out the segment above as he describes why he could definitely picture Brady getting cold feet when he realizes the void playing football has left.
