Colin Cowherd Calls Out 'Delusional' Dak Prescott Supporters

Colin Cowherd: “It was a discouraging performance by the Cowboys, who have clearly shown the ability to play one way this year, and that is with a lead. EVERYBODY is better with a lead. Your pass-rushers can pin their ears back, your quarterback can throw on play-action pass, everybody plays better with a lead. Dak has been atrocious trailing against Arizona and San Francisco. Dak was never a ‘tier 1’ guy regardless of what they think in Texas. He’s a ‘tier 2’ guy, maybe the top of tier 2 when you surround him with a lots of good players. Brock Purdy goes 10-0, breaks all these records, and you won’t embrace him. Dak had a great o-line, a great run-game, he had receivers, he had an offensive coach, he had the defense, and he got MVP votes in his first season. Since then has he ever been that good? His passer rating when trailing this year is 63. His passer rating when leading is 103.6. The delusion in Dallas is just amazing. It’s ‘this’, or it’s ‘that’, or it’s ‘HIS’ fault... How about this – once you pay Dak, you have to scale back on weapons, and he’s a game manager more than he is a guy who will carry the franchise. Dak has never been great in my opinion, he’s been very good when he wasn’t paid. The minute you give the quarterback the bag, you gotta scale back somewhere. I suggested Dalton Schultz going to the Texans would hurt. Ferguson the tight end has 175 yards through five games. I suggested no Amari Cooper could be trouble and that Brandin Cooks wasn’t the answer. What has Brandin Cooks done? CeeDee Lamb is a lower end #1. Tony Pollard is good, not special. That means Dak is going to trail and has to do the carrying. The delusion in Dallas is crazy and Jerry is just doubling down on hit. Is he watching the same game I am??” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd mock Jerry Jones for his recent comments backing Dak Prescott as the quarterback who can get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl, with Colin saying Sunday night’s massacre in San Francisco proved quite the opposite.

Check out the segment above as Colin dishes on why he doesn’t have any confidence in Prescott being able to steer Dallas any further in the playoffs than they’ve ever gone the last two-plus decades.
