Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was one of 87 people arrested following a protest march in Kentucky. A group of over one hundred people marched from Louisville's East End to the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, demanding justice for Breonna Taylor, who was killed by police officers during a no-knock raid at her home in the middle of the night.
Authorities said that the protesters were ordered to disperse and leave Cameron's property. When they refused to leave, they were taken into custody. Stills and the other protesters were charged with a felony count of intimidating a participant in the legal process, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass.
Stills was released from jail and posted a video on Instagram Live, defending the protesters.
"We just want justice," Stills said, according to ESPN. "We just want Breonna Taylor's killers arrested."
Taylor, a 26-year-old Black emergency medical technician, was shot eight times by plainclothes officers serving a no-knock warrant for illegal drugs at her apartment. They did not find any drugs during a search of her apartment.
One of the officers involved in the incident was fired, but the other two officers remain on the force. Cameron's office has been investigating the shooting, but none of the officers have been charged.
