Colin Cowherd: It's Time For Dolphins to Start Tua Tagovailoa at QB

Colin Cowherd: “IT’S TUA TIME. Last game was the classic ‘Fitzmagic’ becomes ‘Fitz-tragic.’ There’s a lot of reason for Tua Time, but number one is that you don’t have to play the Patriots, you don’t have to open with Belichick, and the schedule is much more workable. You also didn’t have a preseason with Tua, but you have had four games now which is a little bit like preseason. He’s also had a month to get healthy with his hip. The other thing is that Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert have walked into this league and have been fantastic. Tua was better than Burrow and Herbert throughout his college career. Now is the time to play Tua even if he’s not quite ready. When you take a job, you shouldn’t be totally ready for it. You gotta bail water, and that will tell me if you can handle yourself. Put Tua in, and if he struggles or feels overwhelmed Miami will not only have their own top 10 NFL Draft pick, they also have Houston’s, who is 0-4. Burrow has looked great with a TERRIBLE offensive line. Herbert has looked excellent against Mahomes and Brady. If Tua looks overwhelmed just go and draft another quarterback. You’re already three games out of first four games in.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks it’s time to end the Ryan Fitzpatrick era in Miami four games into 2020 and take the bubble wrap off rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, as Colin believes Miami should use these last 12 games to figure out if the former Alabama superstar is their quarterback of the future.

Check out the video above as Colin details all the reasons why Week 5 is the perfect time to start Tua at quarterback for a 1-3 Dolphins team who doesn't look competitive.
